001- Video from Cherrygrove inn

[Well, Tulane's up to no good again. Bunny and Tooth have been buzzing around Cherrygrove trying to get used to this... human thing. Especially financially-- Bunny's been writing up numbers everywhere. Science had been his thing long ago and he certainly was no stranger to mathematics but hell if it didn't concern him a little; being human is taxing and he definitely prefers guarding them instead.

Tulane, however, is not being the most cooperative smeargle in the city. He's stolen Bun's pokégear again, and for a few seconds the feed is just a smeargle's mischievous face as he carts about the inn's room.

Until, of course, Bunny snatches him up, carries him upside-down under his arm, and looks into the video feed.]

Quick question.

[Shooting Tulane a look, Bunny decides to ignore the fact Tulane's sticking-out-tongue is definitely being aimed his way. Rude, Tulane.]

They all like this, or is there some sorta clue t' what these buggers are like?

[Yeah, but that part's FUNNY.]

Some can fly, yeah. It's getting ones that can take you with them that's the problem. I haven't found any yet.

And Dingle... look up 'Gyarados.' That's what's useful about him. Eventually.

[Excuse Bunny if it seems hard to believe what he's just looked up.]

...How? Can hardly expect the thing t' move!

[Yeah, Jack was pretty surprised, too. But the other Jack seems reliable, in a really strange sort of way, so it's gotta happen somehow.]

No clue. Something about evolution. But he can totally move, watch this.

[The feed recenters on the Magikarp where it flops idly. The end of Jack's new walking stick comes into the picture, prodding a bit until he gets enough of it under Dingle to flip the Magikarp over to its other side. Once there, it flops about madly, like a kid on Christmas morning or maybe like it's having some strange sort of seizure. Finally, its flopping lands it back next to Jack on the side it was on originally. Something about its confused expression is now almost... expectant? It flops pointedly a couple times until the walking stick returns and the entire process is repeated.

The feed comes back to a widely grinning Jack.]

Pretty sure he thinks it's a game.

...I can't tell if I feel sorry for the bugger or not.

[It's obvious Bunny's trying to hide a laugh, though.]

Guess that'll work. You ain't allowed to go tearin' things apart with a dragon like that, y' hear?

[...Bunny's kidding, right?]

Oh yeah. No. Cause who would want to ride a giant dragonfish around?

All I'm sayin' is, there are police around 'ere an' they can see ya. An' we ain't postin' bail for ya.

[He's teasing, but hey-- it wouldn't be Bunny otherwise, would it?]

[Besides, who knows when Dingle will feel like evolving? Of course, everyone will know once he has evolved, so it evens out.]

[Bunny's quiet for a few moments, but nods.]

Good. Stay outta trouble.

[Scolding is just Bunny speak for 'call for help if you need us', okay. It's not like North is around to impart a fatherly blessing, anyhow.]

[Jack's never exactly been one for calling for help, though. Maybe being stuck here can help fix that a little. For now, he rolls his eyes.]

You sure you're in charge of Easter and not Mother's Day?

[The comment quiets Bunny for a few moments before he rolls his eyes right back at Jack, grumbling. He doesn't address it, however.]

If I don't get after ya, Tooth will.

...Did you seriously just 'wait till your father gets home' me? With TOOTH?

[Sorry, he's laughing now. With all that 'working together' stuff, he'd forgotten how much fun it is to tweak Bunny's ears instead. Well... metaphorically. At least in this case.

He's totally going to have to start addressing everything to them as 'Dear Mom and Dad.']

[This time, however, Bunny doesn't even bother getting mad. Jack's not the only one who likes playing jokes. Instead, he gives Tulane a look-- an 'I warned him, you heard me,' look.]

Nah, 's more of a... warning. I ain't gonna get after ya, but you're on the team now. Means Tooth'll be worryin' after ya and if you get in to trouble, well.

If ya thought North bein' mad was a bad thing, you've got another thing comin'. Just a bit of advice, Frostbite: don't worry a queen.

[Okay, that... that does make him pause, just for a second, while he tries to figure out if Bunny is serious or just pulling his leg.

Maybe, just for now, he'll err on the side of caution.]

Like there's anything to bother getting in trouble for here, anyway.
